Our seven tips to wash your swimwear

Our seven tips to wash your swimwear

What’s the best way to wash your swimwear? If you do it well, then you will preserve your swimwear for longer, as sunscreen, pool chemicals, rough surfaces and not drying correctly can all play a role in swimwear deterioration.

At Es Una, here are our top tips:

  1. Rinse away the salt, sunscreen, deodorant, cosmetics, perfume, sweat or chlorine as soon as you can. Chemicals can damage elasticity, stain or discolour the fabric.
  2. Cold hand wash or gentle machine wash with mild detergent. White vinegar can be used as a substitute.
  3. Wash light and dark colours separately
  4. Use a laundry bag to prevent catching the fabric and retain shape
  5. Rough surfaces should also be avoided
  6. Remove excess water and line dry out of direct sunlight
  7. Do not wring, soak, bleach, tumble dry, dry clean, iron or store wet.

Although the best possible dyes are selected worldwide, the fastness of some shades must be treated with caution.
