Introducing our Summer 2022 print - flowering gum

At Es Una, we are thrilled to introduce our Summer 2022, limited edition print - Flowering Gum. Designed by renowned textile designer, Chloe Studd, Flowering Gum takes inspiration from the Australian bush to bring a vibrant, Summer print.

Chloe is a British freelance, textile designer living in Sydney. During the past ten years, she has seen her original designs head up multinational editorial campaigns for the iconic UK clothing brand, Boden. She has designed best selling prints for Australian retail giants, Katies, Rockmans, W Lane, Rivers and Millers, and created bespoke textile designs for a range of smaller, independent labels - like Es Una.

Her style of design can best be described as eclectic, mixing techniques such as hand drawing, collage and digital manipulation to create her unique textile artworks. Chloe has taken inspiration from the Australian bush to design this print. She says,

"The native flowers and plants were one of the first things I noticed when I came to Australia; the beautiful, bright colours and interesting shapes, which were so different to anything I had seen before. As Es Una is an Australian brand, we wanted to celebrate the native flora of Australia through this print.

The initial inspiration came from Lyndal's love of Scandinavian style design. I thought this would work really well paired with the clean silhouettes of the wattle and banksia leaves, coupled with the bright pop of colour from the eucalyptus flowers.

I am really excited to see the artwork come to life on Es Una's new swimwear range!"
